Introduction of Services

TRANSPORTATION ENGINEERING

  • Transportation engineering  is the application of technology and scientific principles to the planning, functional design, operation and management of facilities for any mode of transportation in order to provide for the safe, efficient, rapid, comfortable, convenient, economical, and environmentally compatible movement of people and goods transport.
  • TRAFFIC ENGINEERING
Traffic Engineering constitutes the core discipline of  our professional practice. The firm offers services both in the traditional areas of Traffic Management as well as in the high-tech Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) applications.  Over the past years, our staff has carried out number of projects that include work under Traffic Data Collection/Analysis, Road Safety Audits/Reviews, Highway Capacity Analysis, Traffic Impact & Operational Studies, Accident Analysis/Safety Studies, Incident/Congestion Management, Traffic Signal Design/Optimization, and Parking Studies/Parking Lot Design.  Our experience includes planning, design and construction management of hundreds of projects for extension, revitalization, modernization, and upgrading of basic transportation infrastructure.
  • TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AND HIGHWAY DESIGN
Our Engineers’ professionals provide services for transportation planning and highway design with the latest technologies, practices, and equipment for pavement management to collect, analyze, and report data.  Our Engineers specializes in Transportation Planning Projects, Accident Protection Security Projects, ITS, Warrant Analysis, Accident Analysis, and Conflict Techniques.
  • We offer a bouquet of services in NSV Survey, FWD SurveyCVCATCC Survey, Axle load Survey, Origin and Destination surveys, parking lot survey (on street and off street), Pedestrian counting, TMC etc.
  • Network Survey Vehicle (NSV) Services: The Network Survey Vehicle is based on the latest survey techniques utilizing Laser, Global Positioning System and Video image processing tools etc. The Survey Vehicle is used for automatic collection of road inventory and pavement condition related data required for Road Asset Management, Pavement Maintenance Management System and Road Safety Audit Related Studies. The system is capable of collecting the following information at Highway Speeds:
    • Longitudinal profiling (International Roughness Index)
    • Transverse profiling (Rut Depth)
    • Pavement Condition
    • Road Geometry data like gradient, cross slope & curvature
    • Assessing GPS coordinates (X, Y, Z) of a particular road section
    • Video imaging for Roadside furniture / Road Assets
    • Video imaging for Pavement Surface Distresses
  • STRUCTURAL EVALUATION AND STRENGTHENING OF FLEXIBLE ROAD PAVEMENTS USING FALLING WEIGHT DEFLECTOMETER (FWD) Testing as per IRC:115-2014
  • A Deflection study using Falling weight Deflectometer (FWD) advanced modern technology as a non-destructive testing device used to evaluate physical properties of pavement. It’s able to determine the moduli of asphalt and concrete pavement layers, as well as the moduli of subgrade soils.
  • The Falling Weight Deflectometer is used to simulate the load pulse generated by a moving vehicle by measurement of the vertical deflection response of pavement to an impulse load for evaluating pavement structural condition and in selecting optimum pavement maintenance and rehabilitation strategies. FWD is used to achieve fast and repeatable in situ characterization of pavement layer stiffness.
  • Why FWD: Knowledge of the existing pavement condition is vital to the success of any pavement rehabilitation project. The FWD plays an indispensable role in evaluating the pavement structural condition. The goal of lower cost, improved pavement quality demands more precise assessment of the pavement layer qualities, making the in-situ measurement of design parameters like stiffness and modulus necessary. By applying FWD test results, pavement analysis and design are carried out in a more rational and accurate manner than relying on simple assumptions or engineering judgment. This can lead to crores in construction costs saved, annually on road – pavement projects.
  • Sensors: The Vehicle mounted FWD is configured with 9 Geophones deflection sensors with capability to incorporate additional vertical deflection sensors to measure the pulse wave outward from the load axis. The equipment based on a 150 KN load cells and multiple geophones is fast and requires typically 40 seconds to perform a test from stoppage of vehicle to end of test.
  • FWD Testing Services Offered: We offer efficient project completion no matter which combination of the following services you choose, individually or grouped.
